Engineoverheating

  • Engine would overheat when in 4 wheel drive or brushhogging after one hour. Did everything. Lowered battery, changed thermostat, changed water temp sensor. That helped a lot, but would still overheat. Noticed inner air cleaner was sucked in a little bit. Still looked clean andno debris that i could see. Changed both inner and outer air filters. That made the biggestdifference of all. It is a lot better now, not perfect, but i can live with it.

  • You might also try cleaning out the exterior of the radiator. Dibris gets stuck on the fins and it acts like insulation not letting the radiator to dispurse heat as the air is flowing through it. Doing it in the tractor should help. (might need to pull it, hit it with some degreaser and squirt it out good to really get it clean.)
