2021 emax 25L. Smokes a lot of black smoke on startup then it clears after 30 seconds but after it warms up it starts smoking again with blue smoke I purchased with 183 hours and now has 210 Any ideas why would be helpful
After closer inspection on a tractor that has low hours and looks new and the interior still smells new I found the outlet hose of the airbox colasped .. Replaced hose and no more smoking ... It was staving for air.. And when you look it was very deciving .. The part was sold out in many places I tried.. Ended up getting one from Texas.. I live in northern Michigan. I suspect this is a common failure
I noticed mine does that at startup also -- does not some any after that -- Oil level is good -- i figured it was something to do with the fuel pump during that wait for the glow plug light to go off --
Start up black smoke means too much fuel or not enough air. Check the air filter. Maybe get some fuel additive.
Blue smoke means oil is burning. Check oil level, may be overfilled.
Did both and it is smoking blue like crazy. Filled the cab with smoke
Take oil fill cap off and see if there is extra pressure / pulsing when tractor is running. If it is, find the PCV valve and make sure it clear of any ice / debris build up.
